The Sri Lanka DMC that routes by monsoon, not by template
Arabiers Private Limited is an SLTDA-licensed travel DMC in Sri Lanka (Licence TA/2024/0284, Company Reg. PV 00250923, Colombo). Island-wide round tours with chauffeur guides, hotel and villa agreements, an ETA and visa desk, wildlife and marine programmes and MICE ground handling, routed around Sri Lanka's two monsoons and delivered for a deliberately limited circle of agency partners.
Most sell one Sri Lanka itinerary year-round. We route by monsoon.

The island has a right coast for every date
Sri Lanka runs two monsoon systems: the southwest monsoon (roughly May to September) soaks the south and west coasts, while the northeast monsoon (roughly December to February) affects the east and north. A single template itinerary sold year-round produces wet beach days and disappointed clients. We route seasonally: south and west coasts plus the hill country through the European winter, and the east coast beaches of Trincomalee, Nilaveli and Arugam Bay through the European summer, when the west is at its wettest.
Your clients get the right island for their travel date. That is the whole difference between a DMC that lives here and a rate sheet with a logo.
Inside the Arabiers Colombo trade desk

Chauffeur-guided round tours
Island touring lives or dies on the person behind the wheel. Access to cars, vans and coaches with chauffeur guides briefed by our Colombo operations team.

Hotel and villa agreements
Trade rates across resorts, boutique villas and tea country bungalows island-wide.
ETA and visa desk
In-house guidance on Sri Lanka's Electronic Travel Authorisation and visa requirements, led by Rikas Hussain, Visa and Travel Manager. Sri Lanka visa hub.
Wildlife and marine
Safaris in Yala, Wilpattu, Udawalawe and Minneriya, and whale watching from Mirissa in season, timed to the parks' real calendars, not the brochure's.
Tea country and rail
Hill country programmes with estate experiences and the famous rail sectors, seat strategy included, because the right side of the train matters.

Cultural events and MICE
Kandyan dance welcomes, venue and hotel blocks, delegate transfers, island excursion waves and on-site operations staff.
The promises we put in writing before you send a file
Most DMC pages list services. These are working commitments, and every one is checkable against a real file. If we ever miss one, tell the General Manager directly; his line is part of the promise.
The GM answers
Live problems reach a named senior, not a ticket queue. The General Manager stands behind every file, and his line is part of the deal.
We come to you
Senior managers travel through the year to partner offices, training your sales staff to answer destination questions like they have been there. Your desk sells better; both sides win.
We will tell you not to buy
The wrong coast in monsoon season, a beach week sold into the rains: we say no and reroute, even when yes pays more. Your client's bad holiday costs you a customer; we protect that first.
Your clients stay yours
We never contact or market to your guests. Guest data from trade files never enters our consumer marketing. Your relationship is the business we are protecting.
Built by us, branded by you
Airport name board at CMB, vehicle boards, the Kandyan welcome banner, crew t-shirts, guest ID cards: all printed in your brand. Your guests experience Sri Lanka as your company's own operation; Arabiers appears nowhere.
Every file ends looking at the next one
After each group: ground photos, actual timings, guest feedback, and improvement ideas discussed for the next group. We assume there is a next group, and work like it.
How we run different source markets in Sri Lanka

UK agencies and operators
The classic two-week round tour, Cultural Triangle, hill country rail, south coast finish, routed for the European winter, with boutique villa upgrades and whale watching in season.

South African groups
Safari-literate clients who compare everything to Kruger, so we sell Sri Lanka's difference: leopards plus whales plus ancient cities in one compact island, with ETA guidance handled by our Colombo desk before departure.

European FITs and groups
Flexible private touring, east coast summer routings when the west is wet, multilingual guide arrangements on request, and rail-and-trek programmes for active travellers.

GCC family groups
Contracted through our own Dubai office in your time zone, with Arabic-speaking coordination, halal dining arrangements, private villa allocations and cool-climate hill country escapes in the Gulf summer.

Indian groups and pilgrimages
Ramayana trail programmes, vegetarian and Jain meal planning, short-haul group series off dense flight connections, coordinated with our Delhi office.
Sri Lanka month by month: what your itinerary must respect
| Period | Ground reality |
|---|---|
| Dec to Mar | Peak season on the south and west coasts and in the hill country. The best boutique properties and chauffeur guides book out first; block ground services with the rooms. |
| May to Sep | Southwest monsoon soaks the south and west; the east coast (Trincomalee, Nilaveli, Arugam Bay) is in full season. This is when template itineraries fail and monsoon routing earns its fee. |
| Jul to Aug | The Kandy Esala Perahera squeezes Kandy hotels and roads for its festival nights; a spectacular inclusion if planned, a logistics trap if not. |
| Mid-April | Sinhala and Tamil New Year: domestic travel peaks, transport and hotels tighten island-wide for several days. Plan files around it. |
| Park calendars | National park conditions and closures shift with drought and season, and whale watching from Mirissa runs on its own window. We confirm the real calendar per file rather than promising the brochure. |

Frequently asked questions
Who is the best DMC in Sri Lanka for travel agents?
The best DMC in Sri Lanka for a travel agent is the one whose claims you can verify: a current SLTDA licence checkable with the Sri Lanka Tourism Development Authority, real routing knowledge of the island's two monsoons, named and contactable staff, and independent reviews. Arabiers Private Limited publishes its SLTDA Licence TA/2024/0284 and Company Registration PV 00250923, routes every programme by monsoon season, and caps monthly partner onboarding so every agency gets a named operator.
Which Sri Lanka DMC handles group tours for international travel agencies?
Arabiers handles group tours in Sri Lanka for international travel agencies: airport meet and greet at Bandaranaike International (CMB), coach and van transport with chauffeur guides, hotel blocks island-wide, ETA guidance, Kandyan dance welcomes, and white-label delivery where every board, banner and guest ID card carries the agency's own brand.
What is the best DMC in Sri Lanka for corporate groups?
For corporate and incentive files in Sri Lanka, judge a DMC on venue and hotel block access, delegate transfer capacity across island distances, and staged cultural moments like a Kandyan welcome. Arabiers delivers corporate ground handling with delegate transfers, island excursion waves and on-site operations staff throughout.
Do you handle Sri Lanka programmes for family groups?
Yes. Family files are a specialism, particularly for GCC families contracted through our own Dubai office: private villa allocations, halal dining arrangements, Arabic-speaking coordination and cool-climate hill country escapes in the Gulf summer, plus family round tours for European and South Asian markets.
Can travel agents book tourist bus or coach rental in Sri Lanka through you?
Yes. Arabiers arranges tourist coach and van transport in Sri Lanka for travel agents, standalone or within a ground package: cars, vans and coaches with chauffeur guides, airport transfer waves at CMB, and multi-day round tour dispositions island-wide.
When is the best time to visit Sri Lanka?
There is no single answer, and that is the point: the south and west coasts and hill country peak from December to March, while the east coast is in season from roughly May to September. A well-routed itinerary makes the island work almost year-round; a template itinerary does not.
